CO-CREATION / MANY VOICES
Making room that changes the work.
Co-creation begins when another person’s presence can change what you were in the process of making.
Hatem. With Postune. With others.
Postune is as much a co-creator as a co-creation. Hatem Béjar works with voices, skins, words and silences in a dialogue that lets form evolve. Others can bring a practice, a story, knowledge or a question.
This openness includes artists and musicians, as well as researchers and citizens. It does not require everyone to perform the same gestures. It asks that each contribution can be heard, discussed and given a place in the work.
Collaborating, participating, co-creating.
Within Postune’s practice, these words describe degrees of involvement to clarify together. Collaboration can bring distinct forms of writing into dialogue. Participation can open a moment of listening, a testimony or an experience. Co-creation means allowing that encounter to affect choices and form.
An interactive atelier is therefore not, on its own, evidence of co-creation. The question is practical: what can a person change? What happens to their contribution? How is it acknowledged? These questions should accompany every participatory proposal.
Works that give encounters a form.
STILL brings Reste, Marc Cherfi’s book, into dialogue with Là, Postune’s song. Presence and absence move between two forms of writing without reducing the book to a soundtrack illustration.
Différemment grew from an encounter with the ToothMe association around Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. A lived story gives the song a direction.
Between Two Syllables explores another relational gesture: waiting for someone’s words without taking them over. Stuttering changes how we listen and the room we leave for another person.
Imagining the next encounter.
Shared listening, participatory workshops and exchanges between practices are among the directions Postune wants to explore. No permanent programme or workshop schedule is announced here.
A proposal can begin modestly: a voice to listen to, a place to move through, a question to bring into music. Its framework is built together, with attention to participants’ agreement, their contribution and how it will be presented.
