POSTUNE / UNSONGS
Uninvited
Giving voice to what rape leaves behind.
Uninvited addresses rape and its aftermath: a body whose boundaries have been violated, words struggling to be heard, silence that prolongs the violence.
The song stays with the person who experienced this violence. Sparse rhythm, syncopation and dissonance carry the rupture and what continues to resonate afterwards.
